The third (final) General Assembly Meeting of the Tempus IV project

The third (final) General Assembly Meeting of the Tempus IV project “Biomedical Engineering Education Initiative in Eastern Neighboring Area” (BME-ENA) took place on April 21-22 in Athens, Greece. The project consortium members got together for the last time to summarize the achievements and to streamline project completion and reporting. The project that lasted for more than 3 years and resulted in establishment and development of 6 new European master’s programs in Biomedical Engineering in 4 countries – Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, – has been a great success, according to all participants and the coordinating institution, the University of Patras (Greece), and provided important foundations for boosting biomedical engineering education in participating ENA countries and aligning it with current European and international standards. The project team at Armenian Association of Telemedicine (AATM) that was responsible for coordination of the project activities at the country level, expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the project leadership crew, which has been created, inspired and steered for many successful years by Professor Emeritus Nicolas Pallikarakis, and to the entire consortium, for the effective collaboration and excellent joint work.
