World Health Organization Flash Audit mission

February 10, 2026
Armenian Association of Digital Health (AADH) was glad to participate in the recent World Health Organization Flash Audit mission assessing Armenia’s health information system, with a focus on digitalization (24–28 November 2025). The mission engaged key stakeholders from across government, healthcare institutions, professional associations, patient groups, and digital health organizations.

The assessment highlighted several areas for improvement, including:

🔵 Reducing parallel paper reporting and manual data processing
🔵 Enhancing CoD/ICD-10 coding and detailed mortality data for analysis
🔵 Strengthening health interview surveys and overall data governance
🔵 Promoting a data-driven culture and improving cybersecurity awareness
🔵 Expanding data access for secondary uses and optimizing regulatory frameworks

AADH is optimistic that these findings will guide strategic improvements to Armenia’s health information system, strengthen interoperability, and support evidence-based, data-driven decision-making.

We look forward to continuing collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, World Health Organization, and other stakeholders as the next steps include clarifying remaining questions, reviewing the draft report, and discussing follow-up activities in early 2026.
